Brittany Zipperlen, PA-C

Functional Medicine Provider | Waco Clinic

Brittany Zipperlen PA-C is a board certified physician assistant trained in functional medicine. She has seven years experience working in internal medicine, family medicine, urgent care/emergency medicine, and orthopedics.

Brittany was intrigued after learning from a PA during her schooling, who practiced in a holistic way. She observed as many people experienced life changing improvements to their health using more natural therapies. Her eyes were opened, and she looked forward to helping patients find a personalized way to feel better.

While working in acute care, she began to notice the increasing prevalence of chronic disease in our society. Conventional medicine is great at treating acute conditions like broken bones, heart attacks, strokes, life threatening illness, but there seems to be a gap in finding what the root cause of more chronic illnesses are. She feels strongly about not only identifying disease, but finding what led to a loss of health.

Brittany is passionate about nutrition, preventative medication and its impact on disease processes.  She loves to help people develop a personalized approach to help facilitate the body and its natural healing journey. God created our bodies in such a way that they are designed to heal and she feels thankful to be a part of her patient's health journey. She sees her profession as a personal way to minister to each patient that entrusts their care to her.

Brittany is married to Matthew and they have three children together. She enjoys being active outdoors, hiking and running, boating, and spending time with her family. Brittany appreciates an active lifestyle and is engaged in her church community.

She is excited to educate her patients on how to pursue optimal health at Waco Functional Medicine. "I feel beyond thankful to have found a place where patients are put first, care is about the individual person, and each person is able to partner in their own health."
